This is the official site for mandolinist Terry Lewis, Shelton WA.
Terry has been playing some sort of music all his life, but in 2003 fell in love with the mandolin and since then it has been a passion for him. Starting off learning bluegrass and playing in a bluegrass band he quickly turned his focus on jazz. His first two albums From Melancholy and Wandering The High Wires while having hints of bluegrass have hints of jazz and the direction he was taking with his music. Since that time he has been focusing on jazz and the development of the Chord Melody style of playing. He has not released any albums since those first two, but has produced Youtube videos showing his development. During this time he also self published Learn The Complete Fretboard Through Scales and Modes For Mandolin.

I highly recommend Mel Bays Deluxe Encyclopedia Of Mandolin Chords. A useful resource for all players, but especially useful for those interested in jazz or chord soloing. On my instructional video page you can see some of the chords and how many in the book can be used as movable chords.

My family and I have a finacial dilema that we are facing and I'm facing having to sell my mandolin to raise the funds needed to secure a place to live.
